Another celebrity is off the market! This time, it’s Dancing with the Stars Petra Murgatroyd who got engaged with an enormous emerald cut engagement ring estimated to be 10 carats.
While this is not a look that most of us can carry off – either financially OR physically (10 carats is a lot of bling!), we can try to copy some of the key elements of this ring that give it its distinctive chunky feel and loads of finger coverage.
First off, it looks like the center stone is an emerald cut diamond. Adding a halo around it will increase perceived size, just in case a 10 carat diamond is not in your plans. This is a great trick to give your center stone way more impact. See how the setting from James Allen does this, below.
Second, the pave split shank design gives the appearance of two bands separating as they approach the center stone. This adds more bling all around, and provides more finger coverage making a more impactful ring.

So how much will this setting set you back? You could purchase a 10 carat emerald cut diamond from James Allen for $1.4 MILLION dollars (make sure you click that link to see it!), this setting has been set with a 1 carat diamond for a far more affordable ring. The setting alone starts at $2,660, and one shopper customized it with a 1 carat emerald diamond for $8,480. See it below.
